Cathy Curless teaches Business Policy and Strategy as a member of the faculty of the University of Kansas School of Business. She served on the Board of Directors for American Italian Pasta Co. until July, 2010, when the company was sold to Ralcorp Holdings Inc. In addition, Ms. Curless consults with a variety of clients on strategic planning projects. Ms. Curless previously was Division Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer for Payless ShoeSource, Inc. Prior to her 20-year career at Payless, she was a Senior Manager in the Management Information Consulting Division of Arthur Andersen (now Accenture) where she primarily focused on clients in the manufacturing and retail sectors.

Ms. Curless earned a B.A. in Microbiology and an MBA with a finance emphasis from the University of Kansas. She currently serves on the Dean’s Board of Advisors for the University of Kansas School of Business and was a charter member of the Women Philanthropists for KU Advisory Board. She has attained CPIM certification from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). She currently serves on the board for the NACD Heartland Chapter. As a member of The Central Exchange, she is involved with the Win-Win initiative, a campaign spearheaded by The Central Exchange to increase gender diversity at the top of area companies.
