Clay spends his days focused on growing Zaarly, an online marketplace startup which helps people find, hire, and work with the best home service providers. Clay is relatively new to the startup world, spending the prior 5 years at Cerner, where he led various initiatives including the patient engagement business and the VC arm for the healthcare IT leader.
Prior to Cerner, Clay was an Associate in McKinsey & Company's Dallas office where he helped Fortune 500 companies define new business entry strategies, improve operational processes, and design cross-functional organizations.
Clay's earned degrees in Mathematics and Management Science from Southern Methodist University as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School, though will readily admit the most helpful lessons were learned outside of the classroom.
When he's not working, the KC native prefers to spend time with his wonderful wife and three wonderful children. He also enjoys following Sporting KC and plays the occasional round of golf (often poorly).
