Connie Russell is a Senior Leadership Coach and Consultant. Connie has over 30 years of business, coaching and consulting experience most recently as a Senior Coach, Consultant and Regional Practice Champion for Leadership Development with Right Management. Before being recruited to Right, she operated a successful coaching and consulting

business to which she has returned. Connie began her career in technical and leadership positions in software systems, marketing and sales with IBM, Oracle Corp. and Sprint. Her unique consultation strengths result from her experience in operational roles in global corporations combined with her entrepreneurial and behavioral health background.

Connie has coached and consulted with leaders in various industries including: manufacturing, finance, animal science, engineering, information technology, banking, real estate, healthcare, law, hospitality, transportation, foundations and other not-for-profit entities. And, as a trusted consultant, Connie has helped family owned businesses transfer ownership and maintain their valued legacy while making the best decisions for the family and the business.

  • A representative sample of consulting experience includes:

  • Master Coach for large-scale engagement with multiple leaders coached by multiple coaches. Managed coaches and worked closely with company liaison, to provide successful coaching for Board mandated succession plan.

  • Designed, developed and delivered 6-month cohort based leadership development programs for executive leadership in Federal financial institution.

  • Led and managed 7-month integrated leadership development program for succession candidates to C-level positions across multiple enterprise entities.

  • Consulted with organization on the complete design, development and delivery of 7-month multiple instructor management level development program for high potentials.

  • Created and led team alignment engagement with physician leaders, professional and administrative staff in local hospital specialty section.

  • Developed process to form new multi-disciplinary teams resulting in improved customer experience and increased revenue for local financial institution.

  • Coached new, mid-level and senior leaders that have had challenges of emotional intelligence, political savvy, lack of confidence, inferior communication skills, inability to form a leadership team, and poor peer relationships.

Connie created and leads the highly successful year long Emerging Leaders Program through the Central Exchange. She has served as an officer on boards of not-for-profits, community organizations and business networks. She is a frequent speaker and subject matter expert on women and leadership, emotional intelligence, executive performance, and values at work.

Education:

Connie holds a Certified Professional Coach designation from the College of Executive Coaching post-graduate training program. She earned a Master of Social Work degree with honors from Washington University (St. Louis), a B.A. from the University of Missouri (Kansas City), and she achieved professional recognition as a Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work. She also is a Family Business Coach, trained by the Family Business Partnership.
