David Larrabee maintains more than 30 years of general management, strategic planning, sales & marketing and product management experience within the financial services industry. David is seeking to build a portfolio of corporate boards to leverage his professional experience, subject matter expertise, financial acumen and non-profit board experience to contribute to the successful oversight and governance of corporations and mutual funds.
David serves as Chairman, Board of Trustees for Heartland Community Church, a 2,500 member church based in Olathe, Kansas. Currently, he is actively investing in several start-up and later-round private companies while pursuing board opportunities.
David joined American Century Investments in 1995 to start multiple sales organizations within the Intermediary division. He started as director, Bank & Trust Sales. David’s core responsibilities included overseeing the firm’s expansion into the Bank and TPA markets and grew to include the Advisor-sold Channel. He assumed complete profit and loss responsibilities for the entire Intermediary division until his retirement in 2012.
Prior to joining American Century, David was vice president with State Street Bank & Trust and UMB Bank. His primary responsibilities involved selling banking services to the mutual fund and insurance industries. Previously, he was a licensed representative with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in San Francisco.
