Denise has more than 25 years of management experience in both large, publicly held companies as well as smaller start-up companies. Denise began her career by focusing on the sales and marketing arena with such companies as Information Builders and Lotus Development. At Lotus, Denise was responsible for the execution of the multi-platform spreadsheet products strategy, which ultimately led to the sale of Lotus to IBM. She also led Research Systems in Boulder, CO, and was responsible for building the company from less than $1M to $20M, establishing a worldwide distribution network while maintaining profitability. Denise was instrumental in negotiating the sale of the Research Systems to Eastman Kodak. Since that time Denise has started and worked with a wide variety of technology based companies from founding Thought Equity in Motion, to assisting in the selling Jabber Inc. to Cisco System as well as growing BoulderLogic to a multimillion dollar company from scratch. Denise now works at the UMKC Innovation Center assisting entrepreneurs as well as university faculty. Denise received her BS in Business, summa cum laude, from Boston State College and earned an MBA from Northeastern University.
