Matt Manuel began his career as a Software Engineer and Associate Producer for Sanctuary Woods Multimedia where he contributed to the acclaimed adventure game The Riddle of Master Lu. The studio was then acquired by The Walt Disney Company where he continued as Producer and Senior Software Engineer. Matt spent a little over two years as Senior Producer for Creative Capers Entertainment in Los Angeles where he led the development team for Adam Blaster: Atomic Enforcer, before returning to Canada to assume the role of Senior Development Director at Electronic Arts. Some of his most notable projects at EA include FIFA World Cup 2006, FIFA 07 and FIFA 08. Before joining LucasArts as Vice President of Production Operations in June 2008 he served as Director, Development for Vancouver, Canada based Propaganda Games, a Disney Interactive studio. His next stop after LucasArts was at Zynga on the FarmVille franchise where he was the Director of Engineering and then Chief of Staff for FarmVille 1, 2 and mobile. Matt is currently CTO at MightyPlay where he helps make mobile games for kids of all ages.
A Canada native and graduate of the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, Matt holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering degree. He also completed an Engineering Exchange Program with the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. Matt currently resides in Marin County, California where he and his wife enjoy spending time outdoors and riding motorcycles throughout scenic Northern California.
