Ryan Mandl is the Director of Business Development for Five Elms Capital, a Kansas City-based venture capital and private equity firm that invests in high growth companies in the Central and Mountain time zones. At Five Elms, Ryan focuses on technology-enabled services, financial services, marketing services, logistics, and software as a service (SaaS) companies.
Prior to joining Five Elms, Ryan was in business development for CDW Corporation, a leading technology products and services distributor based in Chicago. Before working with CDW, Ryan assisted with the consolidation of two post acquisition warehousing operations. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Finance and a concentration in Entrepreneurship. Ryan launched Five Elms' Flyover 50 award, which honors the 50 fastest-growing companies in the Central U.S. Ryan also is a co-founder of TEDMEDLiveKC, a branch of the larger TED organization focused on neurological disease awareness and research funding. All proceeds from TEDMEDLiveKC fund neurological disease research at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
