THE SparkLabKC DIFFERENCE
We get Internet businesses off the ground faster with a better chance to succeed going forward through a proven accelerator program we have adapted to the Kansas City region. SparkLabKC also builds on public-private partnerships and the strengths of the region’s vast entrepreneurial community.
The program focuses on early-stage Internet startups working in industries that are driving the Kansas City region’s economy such as telecommunications, engineering, health care, agriculture and energy.
SparkLabKC selects 10 early-stage technology startup companies each year for the 90-day accelerator program and provides:
SparkLabKC earns a 6% interest in each participating company in return for the program service.
Startups that have been through this kind of program have a superior track record of generating new companies and new jobs, and achieving a significant impact in their communities.
And because we call Kansas City home, a remarkable array of support services are available to entrepreneurs from university programs such as the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Innovation Center to the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program and the Kauffman Foundation. It’s why StartupDigest.com ranks Kansas City among the top five fastest growing startup communities in the world.
